Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of Crossvocab (www.crossvocab.com), an online tool that generates vocabulary crosswords for English learners at CEFR levels A1 to C2. By using the website you agree to them.

Who we are

Crossvocab is owned and operated by Ganna Kushnirenko, a sole proprietor. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Ganna Kushnirenko, and "you" means the person using Crossvocab. You can reach us at help@crossvocab.com.

The service

You choose a level and a topic, and Crossvocab generates a crossword that you can solve online or print. The free plan includes:

• 3 crosswords per day without an account, or 5 per day with a free account;
• all levels and topics, online solving and printing;
• a history of your crosswords when you are signed in.

You need to be at least 13 years old to create an account. Keep your sign-in details safe: you are responsible for what happens in your account.

Crossvocab PRO

Crossvocab PRO is a paid subscription that adds:

• unlimited crossword generations, with no daily limit;
• no ads on the website;
• early access to new features.

PRO costs $5 per month or $30 per year. Depending on your country, sales tax or VAT may be added at checkout, and the price may be shown in your local currency. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; PRO then stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and your account returns to the free plan. If we change the price, we will tell you by email before your next renewal, and the new price will apply only from that renewal.

Payments through Paddle

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms. We never see or store your card details.

Every PRO payment comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee. See the Refund Policy for how to ask for a refund.

Fair use

"Unlimited" means no daily limit for personal study and teaching, including making crosswords for your classes. It does not cover automated or bulk generation (scripts, bots, scraping) or reselling the service. We may slow down or suspend use that harms the service for others, and we will contact you first when we can.

You agree not to:

• try to get around the daily limits or other security measures;
• enter topics that are illegal, hateful or sexually explicit, or that contain other people's personal information;
• interfere with the website or use it to harm others.

Crosswords and content

The words and clues are generated by artificial intelligence and may sometimes contain mistakes; please check a crossword before you rely on it in a lesson. Generated crosswords are public: anyone with the link can open them, and we may show them to other users who choose the same level and topic.

You may solve, print, copy and share the crosswords you generate, including for teaching in schools and private lessons. The Crossvocab website, name and design remain ours.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Crossvocab running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or improve features. If we ever stop offering PRO, we will refund the unused part of your current paid period.

Liability

Crossvocab is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under the laws of your country.

Ending your account

You can stop using Crossvocab at any time and ask us to delete your account by writing to help@crossvocab.com. If you have an active PRO subscription, cancel it first so it does not renew. We may close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will also let registered users know by email before they take effect.
